An API key is a unique identifier that authenticates your direct requests to use hosted models. When you use your own API key, you're responsible for managing your own billing relationship with the model provider. When you use Cellm's hosted models on the Personal and Professional plans, we manage the API keys and billing on your behalf, and you with your subscription instead.

No, we never save any data from your spreadsheets. If you use your own API key to other model providers, you need to read their privacy policy because whether they use your data or not is between you and them. On the free plan, we save your prompts to understand how you use Cellm so we can improve it, but even here we specifically and deliberately do not save any data from your spreadsheet.

Billing for paid plans (Professional and Power User) works on a monthly subscription cycle. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

• The free plan requires no payment information and and Cellm incurs no charges. Any usage costs from Anthropic or OpenAI are billed to you directly by those providers, not Cellm.
• For the Professional plan ($5/month), you pay a flat monthly subscription fee to Cellm. Any usage costs from hosted AI models are billed to you directly by those providers, not Cellm.
• For the Power User plan ($15/month), your monthly subscription includes a $10 credit for usage of Cellm-managed Mistral models. We handle the payments to Mistral for this usage, deducting from your credit. Any usage beyond the $10 credit is paused until your next billing cycle. You can renew your billing cycle whenever you want to top up your account.

If a scheduled payment for your subscription fails, your account will remain active but you will lose access to the paid features. Our payment processor, Stripe, will automatically attempt to retry the payment a few times over the following days. We will also send you email notifications informing you about the failed payment and providing instructions on how to update your payment method. You can update your card details or payment method directly in your dashboard.

Yes, you can switch plans at any time. The change is applied at the beginning of you next billing cycle.

No, we do not offer refunds. If you're unhappy with your purchase for whatever reason, you can cancel your subscription at any time after which you won't be charged again.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel your subscription, you will still be able to use Cellm until the end of your billing period. After that, you will be downgraded to the free plan.

It depends on the model you select and the length of the prompts you write. The typical prompts we write in Cellm are no longer than 300 input tokens and 100 output tokens. For Mistral Small, this will get you about 150.000 prompts. This model is fine for most tasks. For Mistral Large, you will get about 15.000 prompts. This model is better when nuanced text understanding or complex reasoning is required.

If you use all of your $10 credit before the end of your billing cycle, access to Cellm's hosted models will be paused until your next billing date. However, you can renew your subscription immediately to restart your $10 credit and continue using hosted models without interruption. Alternatively, you can switch to local models or bring your own API keys (BYOK) at any time.

We automatically top up your account to $10 each cycle. Any unused credit does not roll over. If you consistently have leftover credit, you might consider adjusting your usage patterns or exploring more powerful models.

We use the pricing on Mistral pricing page. For example, Mistral charges $0.1 per million input tokens and $0.3 per million output tokens for Mistral Small. For each prompt, the net Mistral cost is deducted from your balance. We don't charge anything on top of your usage. Taxes, fees to our payment provider, and any other expense on our part is covered by the $5/month you pay us on top of the $10

BYOK allows you to use your own API key from model providers instead of using Cellm's hosted models. This option is available on all plans. When you use BYOK, you manage your own billing relationship with the model provider directly, and your data is sent only to the model provider without going through Cellm's servers.
