Cancellation & Refunds

Cellm may turn out not to be for you and that is okay. This page explains we handle cancellation and refunds for your subscription.

Cancelling Your Subscription

Just so we're on the same page: Your subscription is billed on a monthly basis in advance of the upcoming service period. Your chosen payment method will be automatically charged at the beginning of each billing cycle until your subscription is cancelled.

  • How to Cancel: You can cancel your Cellm subscription at any time in the danger zone on your dashboard.
  • Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active, and you will continue to have full access to your plan's features until the end of your current billing period.
  • After Your Subscription Ends: Your account will automatically transition to an inactive plan. Your account and associated email address will remain active, allowing you to access the free features or resubscribe in the future. If you wish to permanently delete your account, you can do so from your dashboard.

You cannot delete your account while your paid subscription is active, as we require your email for essential communication like billing issues or data breach notifications.

Refunds

The base monthly fee of $9 is generally non-refundable. When you subscribe, you gain access to the service for the entire billing period. The base fee covers this access for the duration of the subscription period, regardless of usage.

Refunds for subscribers to the Power User plan

The Power User plan consists of a base fee only. Here's why we don't refund Power Users:

  • Monthly Cost: $9 (this is the base fee).
  • Refund: There are no usage credits or other components eligible for a refund with this plan.

Refunds for subscribers to the Professional plan

The Professional plan is structured into a base fee and usage credits. Here's how refunds work:

  • Monthly Cost: $29 ($9 base fee and $20 usage credits).
  • Refund: Any unspent portion of the $20 in usage credits will be refunded to your original payment method after your subscription term ends. For example, if you have used $7 of your $29 credits by the end of your final active billing period, you will receive a refund of $13 for the unused credits. The $9 base monthly fee for your subscription is generally non-refundable.

Refunds for subscribers to the Teams plan

The Teams plan consists of a base fee for each team member and usage credits allocated to each team member. Here's how refunds apply:

  • Monthly Cost: $49/user ($9 base fee and $40 usage credits).
  • Refund: Any unspent credits across the team will be refunded to your original payment method after your subscription term ends. For example, if you have two team members, one who spent $22 out of $40 and one who spent $3 out of $40, you will receive a refund of $55 (2 × $40 − $22 − $3). The $9 base monthly fee for your subscription is generally non-refundable.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unique situations can arise. While our policy is designed to be applied consistently, we may consider refunds or credits outside of these standard terms in very specific, exceptional circumstances, such as a documented billing error on our part or a significant, prolonged service outage for which Cellm is directly responsible and which has not been rectified in a timely manner. Any such exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis and are at our sole discretion. If you believe your situation warrants special consideration, please email us at kasper@getcell.com.

Changes to This Policy

Cellm reserves the right to update or modify this Refunds & Cancellation Policy at any time. We will post any changes on this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice, such as an email notification to our active subscribers.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our refund and cancellation practices. Your continued use of Cellm services after any changes to this policy are posted will be considered acceptance of those changes.
